Once again Craigellachie were able to field a 5-piece band at the RSCDS Oxford Branch’s Annual Ball. Ian Muir – Accordion, Barbara Manning – Fiddle, Keith Anderson – Fiddle, John Browne – Hrmony Accordion and Judith Muir Keyboards. An ‘electric’ atmosphere with 120 dancers filling the hall. After missing last year due to refurbishment, the St. Andrews Ball is back and with 170 dancers packed into Broomhouse, and the usual mix of Reelers and Country Dancers, the vibrant atmosphere was as exciting as ever. The Harwell Ball is our longest standing regular booking, stretching back to the very beginning of the band in the 1980s. Originally held at the A.E.R.E (Atomic Energy Research Establishment), the ball is now co-hosted with the Abingdon club which helped to fill the hall with enthusiastic dancers.
