Graham Hamilton

Graham Hamilton:

Graham Hamilton is the son of London-based accordionists, Brian and Patricia Hamilton. He started playing drums in his father’s band in the early 1980s at Scottish Country, mixed Scottish/ballroom, Reeling, English Country and Barn dances. He joined The Craigellachie in 1988.

In 1994 Graham formed the Glenwood Scottish Band specifrically to play t the Hong Kong St Andrew’s Society Ball. The following year the band also played at the Taiwan St Andrew’s Ball, and has played there many times since.

Graham is a keen Scottish Country dancer and has run the Summer Tuesday season of dances at St Columba’s Church of Scotland hall in Knightsbridge, London since 1995. He is the Honorary Treasurer and a Past President of the Wembley and District Scottish Association.

When not dancing or playing in the band, Graham is a self-employed Business Analyst. He is married to another Scottish Dancer, Caroline, and has a young son, James. His other interests include playing golf and tennis, watching cricket and football, cycling, hill-walking, astronomy and sailing.
